The video game and pop culture festival at the Stazione Leopolda in Pisa
The Gamicon Videogames Festival is the event that transforms the Stazione Leopolda in Pisa into a massive digital playground every year. Organized by Arkanoid srls with the patronage of the Municipality of Pisa, the event draws enthusiasts, families, and curious visitors of all ages to the Tuscan capital for a weekend of interactive fun.
The heart of Gamicon is a journey through the evolution of video games: from the first arcade cabinets and vintage consoles to next-gen platforms and immersive virtual reality experiences. Across various themed areas, visitors can test hundreds of gaming stations, challenge friends in timeless classics, and discover the latest industry trends in a true exploration of this medium, which has become a global cultural phenomenon.
Beyond the competitive aspect, Gamicon dedicates significant space to families and children, with play areas designed for younger visitors and activities suitable for all ages. Over the years, the festival has also involved local organizations focused on digital education and culture, offering demonstrations on video game development, 3D modeling, and digital animation, confirming the event's dual nature: entertainment and digital skill development.
With its central location in Pisa and continuous opening hours designed to allow visitors to enjoy every area at their own pace, the Gamicon Videogames Festival has established itself as one of the most anticipated dates on the Tuscan calendar for fans of gaming and pop culture.
