A Sunday of nature and fine food in Morsasco

From Seed to Table is a day designed for those who love nature, quality agriculture, and good food. The event takes place at the Agriturismo La Rossa in Morsasco, a farmhouse set among the hills of the Alto Monferrato, just a few kilometers from Ovada and Acqui Terme, in the Piedmont region. From 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, producers, businesses, families, and curious visitors gather for a day that blends reflection, play, and flavor.

The central theme: from seed to table

The title captures the soul of the event: following the journey of food from the soil to the plate, while championing short supply chains, local producers, and sustainability. It is an invitation to understand the origins of what we eat and to rediscover the value of the agricultural work that has always defined the Monferrato region.

The daily program

• 9:30 - 10:00 — Welcome and registration for producers, companies, and local stakeholders.
• 10:00 - 11:30 — Facilitated roundtable with producers and stakeholders titled "Building a System: Territory, Supply Chain, and Shared Sustainability," focused on the challenges and opportunities of local agriculture.
• 12:30 - 13:30 — Lunch at the farmhouse, featuring farm products and the flavors of Piedmontese cuisine (menu to be arranged upon reservation).
• 13:30 - 17:30 — An afternoon of nature-based activities, guided games, producer storytelling, and discussions suitable for the whole family.
• 15:30 - 16:30 — Mortar pesto competition organized by ACLI Terra Genova, the highlight and most convivial moment of the day.

Agriturismo La Rossa

The setting is the Agriturismo La Rossa, an educational farm and restaurant that serves authentic local cuisine: handmade ravioli, farm-raised guinea fowl, and a selection of excellent wines such as Dolcetto d'Ovada and Barbera del Monferrato. It is the ideal place to fully experience the spirit of the event, amidst nature trails, vineyards, and rolling hills.

The event is aimed at producers and operators in the agri-food sector, as well as families, children, and anyone wishing to spend a day outdoors rediscovering the connection between nature, food, and community. Participation in activities and the roundtable is free; reservations are recommended for lunch.
