The antique and vintage market in the historic center, every third Saturday of the month
The Arquata Scrivia Antique Market is a regular event that, every third Saturday of the month, brings the streets of the historic center of this village in the province of Alessandria, Piedmont, to life. Established in the spring of 2024, the market has quickly become a popular stop for enthusiasts of vintage items and mid-century modern collectibles from across the border region between Piedmont and Liguria.
The exhibitors' stalls offer a rich and varied assortment: home decor, furniture and mid-century modern objects, vintage boxes, antique books and postcards, small antiques, and curiosities from the 50s, 60s, and 70s. This is not a high-end luxury antique fair, but an honest and regular market where prices remain reasonable and where you can let yourself be surprised by a collector's item or the perfect piece to furnish your home with style.
Arquata Scrivia is located in a strategic position along the historic route connecting the Po Valley to the Ligurian Sea. This dual identity is also reflected in the market stalls: exhibitors come from both Piedmontese and Ligurian traditions, and the goods tell the story of both territories, from items from the Ligurian hinterland to those from the plains. The market takes place along the streets of the center and around Piazza Santo Bertelli, the town's ancient market square, dominated by Palazzo Spinola.
The market is held every third Saturday of the month, with continuous hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. For 2026, the calendar includes dates on January 17, February 21, March 21, April 18, May 16, June 20, July 18, August 15 (on the occasion of Ferragosto), September 19, October 17, November 21, and December 19.
Beyond shopping at the stalls, the market is the ideal opportunity to discover the historic center of Arquata Scrivia, with its Baroque well, Palazzo Spinola, and the squares that preserve the town's identity. The market day thus becomes a pleasant stroll through history, curiosities, and the pleasure of hunting for vintage objects, just minutes from the Serravalle outlet and easily reachable by train on the Turin-Genoa line.
