The fair of Valle Stura
Expo Valle Stura is the great market fair of Rossiglione, a municipality in the upper Valle Stura within the Metropolitan City of Genoa. For decades, it has represented the autumn event that brings together producers, breeders, artisans, and tourism operators from the valley, in an event that combines economy, tradition, and village festivities.
Livestock, crafts, and flavors
The historic heart of the fair is the livestock exhibition, featuring farm animals from the valley, alongside:
- Market fair with typical products and local crafts;
- Gastronomic stands with traditional Ligurian mountain dishes;
- the arrival of the historic train, bringing visitors from Genoa along the scenic Valle Stura line;
- entertainment, music, and activities for families.
Two weekends of celebration
The event traditionally takes place on the last weekend of September and the first weekend of October, often combined with the Chestnut Festival (Sagra della Castagna), creating a long period of celebration that highlights the flavors and landscapes of the Beigua Regional Natural Park and a border territory between Liguria and Piedmont.

How to get there
Rossiglione is on the Genoa-Acqui Terme railway line; a dedicated historic train often runs during the fair. By car, take the A26 motorway, exit at Masone, then follow the SP456 del Turchino.
