The street food festival in the Rapp Gardens of Bressanone
The Food Festival Brixen is the gastronomic event that brings the Rapp Gardens (Rappanlagen) in the center of Bressanone (Brixen), in the province of Bolzano, to life every summer in the heart of South Tyrol. Established in 2022, the festival has quickly become one of the most anticipated summer events in the episcopal city, attracting families, young people, and curious foodies from across the Trentino-Alto Adige region.
At the heart of the event is the variety of street food: food trucks and chefs, both professionals and enthusiasts, gather in the Rapp Gardens to offer high-quality dishes and creative preparations. Alongside international offerings, there is space for the excellence of the South Tyrolean territory, from PGI Speck to mountain cheeses, and from Val Venosta apples to regional wines, in a culinary journey that blends local tradition with street food from every corner of the planet.
For three days, the festival is accompanied by a packed musical program, with live bands and DJ sets enlivening the evenings. There is also a rich children's program, with activities and entertainment designed for the little ones, making the festival a family-friendly event. Pleasure for the palate, the ears, and the eyes: this is the promise that draws numerous visitors to the Rapp Gardens every year.
The setting of the Rapp Gardens, a green space in the historic center of Bressanone, offers an ideal backdrop for an open-air and convivial festival. Admission is free, and the relaxed atmosphere invites you to spend the entire day sampling food, listening to music, and enjoying the festive spirit. The Food Festival Brixen is a key part of the rich summer calendar of the Municipality of Bressanone and South Tyrol, offering residents and tourists a meeting point dedicated to good food.
The Food Festival Brixen 2026 was held from Friday, July 3 to Sunday, July 5, 2026, in the Rapp Gardens of Bressanone. The edition featured a selection of food trucks with street food from around the world and the gastronomic excellence of South Tyrol, from PGI Speck to mountain cheeses.
