About bike festa Südtirol

The bike festa Südtirol turns the historic center of Bressanone (Brixen), in South Tyrol, into a grand celebration dedicated to cycling. Between the Cathedral Square, medieval alleys, the vineyards of the Isarco Valley, and the Plose mountain, the event brings together enthusiasts, industry brands, families, and curious visitors for expos, test rides, guided tours, workshops, and tastings of local products. A four-day event that blends innovation, outdoor sports, and cycling culture in a stunning Dolomite setting.

A festival dedicated to cycling in Bressanone

The bike festa Südtirol is the cycling event that brings the historic center of Bressanone (Brixen), in the province of Bolzano, South Tyrol, to life. Launched in 2025, the festival transforms Cathedral Square and the town's medieval alleys for four days into a grand stage dedicated to cycling in all its forms: from road bikes to mountain bikes, gravel to e-bikes, and even city bikes for daily commuting.

The four thematic areas

The experience is structured around four areas that explore the world of cycling from different perspectives:

  • Brand festa: a showcase for industry brands, featuring the latest innovations, high-end bicycles, cutting-edge components, and sustainable mobility technologies presented in the Expo Area in the city center.
  • Ride festa: guided tours and itineraries for all skill levels, winding through city streets, the vineyards of the Isarco Valley, and the trails leading up to the Plose mountain, with the Dolomites as a backdrop.
  • People festa: workshops, meet-ups, conferences, and deep-dive sessions designed to foster dialogue between individuals, generations, and the cycling community.
  • Gusto festa: tastings of Isarco Valley wines, traditional South Tyrolean products, and culinary offerings that blend local flavors with cycling culture.

Program and events

The calendar includes numerous activities spread throughout the historic center: the Innovation Gallery dedicated to designers and mobility startups, the Expo Area with test rides and product trials, the Art Corner, and the Bike Film Tour, a selection of short films (a 120-minute program) celebrating the versatility of the bicycle across sports, daily mobility, and adventure travel. There is also space for children with the Kids Programme, featuring obstacle courses and fun races set up in the heart of the city.

A local event

Organized by Bressanone Tourism, the bike festa Südtirol was created with the ambition of becoming a landmark event for cycling culture in South Tyrol, located in one of Italy's most bike-friendly regions. The choice of Bressanone, one of the oldest cities in the historic Tyrol, combines the charm of a medieval center with the richness of the Isarco Valley landscape, offering professionals, enthusiasts, and families an experience that merges innovation, movement, and conviviality.
