The floral market exhibition that transforms the city center into an open-air garden
In Città di Castello, an art city in the Province of Perugia in the Upper Tiber Valley, Flowers in the City is the floral market exhibition that every May transforms the historic center into an open-air garden. The most beautiful squares and streets of the city — from Piazza Matteotti to Piazza Andrea Costa, along Corso Vittorio Emanuele — fill with colors, scents, and floral arrangements.
The event brings together nursery owners, florists, and producers from various regions, with a particular focus on rare petals and collector plants, alongside quality crafts inspired by the plant world. It is the ideal opportunity for gardening enthusiasts and the curious to discover unusual varieties and receive advice from experts.
Alongside the market, Flowers in the City offers a packed program of activities: live demonstrations and thematic workshops on gardening techniques (in Piazza Fanti), tea tastings, book presentations, yoga sessions in the municipal gardens, and art exhibitions for adults and children. There is also a street food area with organic products and floral corners designed for photos. Free admission, it is an event that also involves the shops in the center with themed window displays, confirming itself as one of the most beloved spring events in the Tifernate area.
On Saturday, May 23, and Sunday, May 24, 2026, the third edition of Flowers in the City returns, the floral market exhibition that transforms the historic center of Città di Castello into an open-air garden.
