About Memorandia

Every second Sunday of the month, the historic center of Anghiari transforms into a large open-air antique market. Memorandia brings over forty exhibitors to Piazza Baldaccio and the Galleria Girolamo Magi, featuring antiques, vintage items, and collectibles: period furniture, ceramics, vinyl records, books, postcards, photographs, and objects that tell stories of the past. A stroll through the loggias and alleys of one of Italy's most beautiful villages, in the Valtiberina valley, just a stone's throw from Arezzo.

Memorandia: objects that tell a story

Memorandia is the monthly antique, vintage, and collectibles market that brings the historic center of Anghiari to life—a stunning village in the Valtiberina area of the province of Arezzo, in Tuscany. Every second Sunday of the month, all year round, Piazza Baldaccio Bruni and the evocative Galleria Girolamo Magi (the so-called "Logge") fill with stalls, objects, and curiosities that invite you on a journey through memory and time.

Over twenty years of history

Founded in 2004, Memorandia celebrated its twentieth anniversary in July 2024. Over the course of more than two hundred market Sundays, thousands of items have changed hands through sales and trades, making the town of Anghiari a landmark for enthusiasts, collectors, and curious visitors from across the region and beyond. The very name—Memorandia, "things that tell a story"—recalls the soul of the event: every object holds a fragment of life and the past.

What to find at the market

The more than forty exhibitors present at each edition offer a wide variety of items:

  • Antiques: period furniture, home decor, rare objects
  • Vintage and 20th-century design
  • Collectibles: vinyl records, postcards, vintage photographs, coins, and stamps
  • Ceramics, glassware, antique books, and prints
  • Small curiosities, toys, and keepsakes from the past

Strolling through the stalls of Memorandia means letting yourself be surprised: there are those looking for a rare piece for their collection and those simply getting lost in stories and memories.

Anghiari, a village to discover

The setting is Anghiari, included in the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy" circuit and famous in history books for the Battle of Anghiari in 1440, immortalized by Leonardo da Vinci. The medieval walls, the steep alleys, and the squares overlooking the Tiber Valley provide the perfect backdrop for a day at the market. Memorandia thus becomes the ideal opportunity to combine a passion for antiques with the discovery of one of Tuscany's most fascinating historic centers, amidst artisan workshops, traditional restaurants, and views of the Tuscan and Umbrian countryside.

An all-day event

The market runs from morning to evening, with continuous hours from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, and admission is free. A full day to wander calmly through the stalls, stop for lunch in one of the village's eateries, and experience the authentic atmosphere of the Valtiberina.

Memorandia — edition 2026

Throughout 2026, Memorandia returns monthly to the historic center of Anghiari. Every second Sunday of the month—including dates such as January 11, February 8, March 8, April 12, May 10, June 14, July 12, August 9, September 13, October 11, November 8, and December 13—Piazza Baldaccio and the Galleria Girolamo Magi welcome exhibitors and visitors from 8:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with free admission.

In 2026, Memorandia confirms its regular appointment with antiques, vintage items, and collectibles in Anghiari. The market is held every second Sunday of the month, all year round, in Piazza Baldaccio Bruni and under the Logge of the Galleria Girolamo Magi.
