Forty Years of Retrò
Retrò is the monthly antiques, modern antiques, and vintage market in Città di Castello (province of Perugia), a regular event on the third Sunday of every month. With over forty years of history, it is one of the most established and appreciated events of its kind in central Italy, attracting collectors, curious visitors, and tourists from all over the region and beyond.
A Market Spread Through the Historic Center
The stalls — up to 125-130 exhibitors on peak days — wind along a route that crosses the heart of the city: Piazza Matteotti, Largo Gildoni, Via Mario Angeloni, Piazza Fanti, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, Corso Cavour, all the way to Piazza Gabriotti. A stroll among the treasures of the past, from morning opening until evening.

The offering is vast: philately, numismatics, antiques, books, antique furniture, collectibles, and plenty of modern antiques and vintage items. An opportunity to find unique pieces, but also to experience the historic center of Città di Castello in a lively and convivial atmosphere. Given its success, the event aims to expand into new areas of the city.
Retrò — edition 2026
For 2026, Retrò confirms its monthly appointment: every third Sunday of the month, the historic center of Città di Castello fills with stalls of antiques, modern antiques, and vintage items. The year opened with around 125 exhibitors, confirming the growing enthusiasm. The route passes through Piazza Matteotti, Largo Gildoni, Via Mario Angeloni, Piazza Fanti, Corso Vittorio Emanuele, and Corso Cavour to Piazza Gabriotti, with hours from 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM. In 2025, the average was 115 operators per event, with record peaks of 130 stalls in June.
