The Cinte Tesino Fish Festival

The Fish Festival is the summer event that brings Cinte Tesino to life every year. Located on the Tesino plateau in Valsugana, within the Autonomous Province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), this small town hosts the festival organized by the Pro Loco of Cinte Tesino and promoted by the Valsugana Lagorai Tourist Board. The event brings an unexpected ingredient to the mountains: fresh fish, served in a variety of ways in the heart of one of eastern Trentino's most tranquil villages.

A summer culinary highlight

The festival takes place at the marquee (Teatro Tenda) set up in the town's sports complex. This covered, well-equipped space ensures guests can enjoy the event regardless of the weather. Evenings kick off at 7:00 PM, when the kitchen and stalls open: here, the Pro Loco volunteer team fries, grills, and serves fresh fish accompanied by seasonal side dishes, chips, and other local specialties.

What to eat

The menu centers on fresh fish, prepared in various ways and paired with traditional local dishes. The table is always set with:

• freshly fried and grilled fish;
• seasonal side dishes and specialties;
• a selection of wines and beverages;
• desserts and coffee to round off the evening.
