In San Giovanni di Casarsa, a populous hamlet of Casarsa della Delizia in the province of Pordenone, the month of June is marked by the Fiesta di San Zuan, the patronal festival in honor of Saint John the Baptist. A festival lasting almost three weeks, with over thirty events, culminating on June 24th with the solemn mass and celebrations for the patron saint.
Over thirty events for everyone
The program is very rich and diverse: from concerts to theatrical performances, from dancing evenings to sports initiatives, to cultural and charity events. Among the most cherished events are the AVIS Sport&Donation relay, the Mundialito San Zuan football tournament, and the Agritour, a food and wine bike ride through the vineyards with tasting stops organized by Coldiretti. The festival is managed, as tradition dictates, by the Par San Zuan association along with local volunteer organizations, under the patronage of the Municipality of Casarsa della Delizia and the Parish of San Giovanni Battista.
Toro allo Spiedo and local cuisine
The convivial heart of the festival are the well-stocked food stalls, with local specialties, and a well-supplied wine bar with fine wines and craft beers. The most anticipated event is the Toro allo Spiedo evening on June 24th, with comic entertainment, which beautifully concludes three weeks of festivities. The Fiesta di San Zuan is one of those festivals that tell the soul of a Friulian village: community, tradition, good food, and a great desire to be together.
Fiesta di San Zuan — edition 2026
The 2026 edition of the Fiesta di San Zuan will be held from June 5th to 24th in San Giovanni di Casarsa, featuring over thirty events. The celebrations in honor of Saint John the Baptist, organized by the Par San Zuan association with local volunteer groups and in collaboration with the La Beorcja association, will culminate on June 24th with the solemn mass for the patron saint.
Among the events: the AVIS Casarsa-San Giovanni Sport&Donation relay, the Mundialito football tournament, dancing evenings, the Agritour on June 23rd (a 25 km bike ride with tasting stops, departure at 8:30 AM), and the Toro allo Spiedo evening on June 24th with comedian Sergio Galantini (Galax).

How to get there: San Giovanni di Casarsa is a hamlet of Casarsa della Delizia (PN), near the SS13 Pontebbana and the A28 motorway (Cimpello exit).
