The flower festival that colours the historic centre of San Vito al Tagliamento
Piazza in Fiore is one of the most beloved and long-standing events in San Vito al Tagliamento, an elegant historic town in western Friuli, in the province of Pordenone. In 2026, the festival reaches its 44th edition, reaffirming itself as the event that, every spring, transforms the historic centre into a large open-air garden.
Organised by the Associazione Pro San Vito in collaboration with the Municipality of San Vito al Tagliamento, the event takes place concurrently with the Ribolla Gialla Wine Festival, creating a particularly rich opening weekend of flowers, wine, and culture.
The heart of the festival is Piazza del Popolo, where eight stalls decorated with flowers are set up, offering food and drink as well as sales of local produce. Alongside these is the traditional Pro Loco stand in Parco Rota, a reference point for a gastronomic break. Art and photography exhibitions, markets, and themed displays complete a route designed for lovers of flowers and beauty.
Each day is enlivened by live music, artistic performances, and shows, with special attention to the youngest visitors: children and teenagers are involved in numerous workshops and activities themed around flowers and recycling. Among the most popular events is the second-hand toy market for children aged 5 to 13.
Celebrating at Piazza in Fiore also means discovering San Vito al Tagliamento, with its medieval village, the charming Piazza del Popolo, its towers, castle, and frescoed palaces. An exceptional setting for an event that combines a passion for flowers with the promotion of the historic centre and local excellence.
The 44th edition of Piazza in Fiore takes place from Saturday, May 30 to Sunday, June 7, 2026, with the opening weekend coinciding with the 4th edition of the Ribolla Gialla Wine Festival. Nine days that transform the historic centre of San Vito al Tagliamento into a large garden enlivened by flowers, markets, and shows.
In Piazza del Popolo, eight stalls decorated with flowers are set up, dedicated to serving food and drinks and selling local produce, while the traditional Pro Loco stand is located in Parco Rota.
