Pordenone's neighbourhood festival with gnocchi, music, and vintage rallies
Borgomeduna in Festa is the early summer event for the Borgomeduna neighbourhood, south of Pordenone's centre. Along Via Giambattista Tiepolo, around the parish church, one of the city's most beloved neighbourhood festivals is revived for about ten days in June: a sagra (local festival) of good food, music, and community moments, enlivened by local committee volunteers.
The food pavilion is the heart of the festival, featuring the great classics of Friulian cuisine: gnocchi with meat or duck ragรน, grilled chicken, fried calamari rings, cheeses, frico, tripe, beans, and homemade desserts. All prepared and served by volunteers, in the convivial spirit typical of village sagre (local festivals).
The evenings are marked by dance orchestras, concerts, and comedy shows, with moments dedicated to younger audiences in the youth area and plenty of entertainment. Among the most characteristic events are the vintage car and Vespa rallies, which attract enthusiasts from all over the region, and sports activities that liven up the festival during the day.
Borgomeduna in Festa is also designed for children, with games, workshops, a charity tombola, and activities for kids. A festival that, for almost twenty years, has kept the neighbourhood united and showcases the most authentic side of Pordenone, a city nominated for Italian Capital of Culture 2027.
Borgomeduna in Festa 2026, now in its 18th edition, takes place from June 5th to 14th in the Borgomeduna neighbourhood of Pordenone. The tried-and-tested formula is confirmed: ten days of food stalls, musical evenings with dance orchestras and concerts, comedy shows, vintage car and Vespa rallies, sports activities, and plenty of family-friendly events.
The detailed day-by-day programme, including the names of orchestras and guests, will be published on the official Borgomeduna in Festa Facebook page in the weeks leading up to the event.
Based on previous editions, each evening features the opening of the food stalls, a dancing night or concert, and on weekends, vintage car and Vespa rallies, comedy shows, and children's activities.
