A Great Neighbourhood Festival in the Heart of the Pordenone Area

There's a neighbourhood in Fiume Veneto that every year, between late May and early June, becomes the meeting point for the entire area: it's the Quartiere 1° Maggio (1st May Quarter), and its festival is now one of the longest-running and most popular in the province of Pordenone. Ten days of music, flavours, and socialising, carefully organised by the festival committee and volunteers, in an atmosphere that blends Friulian tradition with the desire to be together.

Tribute Bands and Dancing Evenings

The musical programme is the true engine of the festival. On stage, tribute bands dedicated to the great names of Italian music alternate – from Vasco Rossi to Zucchero ('Diavolo in Noi') to Elisa ('A Modo Nostro') – alongside Latin-American evenings, group dances, and dance orchestras that get people of all ages onto the dance floor. Entry to the concerts is free, a choice that has always characterised the event.

Operazione Nostalgia: A Dive into the 60s and 70s

The highlight is 'Operazione Nostalgia' (Operation Nostalgia), usually on June 2nd: a day that takes you back in time with an exhibition of vintage cars and motorcycles, music and dances of yesteryear, and the unmissable 'grandma's lunch', a sentimental journey into the Sixties and Seventies that attracts curious onlookers and enthusiasts every year.

Flavours of the Grill and Tradition

At the table, the 'Signori della Brace' (Masters of the Grill) take charge, with grilled meats prepared on-site, accompanied by first courses, mixed fried dishes, frico (a Friulian cheese and potato dish), and other specialities of Friulian festival tradition. The area, with covered seating and table service, ample parking, and eco-friendly tableware, is designed to welcome families and groups in complete comfort. The festival is promoted with the support of the Municipality of Fiume Veneto.
