The national final of the Abruzzo singing competition takes place at Magika in Spoltore
The Festival della Melodia Grand Finale is the highlight of one of Abruzzo's most enduring and recognizable singing events: the only traveling competition in the region recognized and sponsored by SIAE Italia. Following numerous stages that visit town squares and historic centers across the provinces of Pescara, Chieti, and Teramo each season, the selected top performers arrive at the Magika nightclub in Villa Raspa, in the municipality of Spoltore (Pescara), for the national final.
The Festival della Melodia is designed as a singing competition dedicated to singers and young performers, who showcase original songs before a jury of musicians, record label representatives, and journalists. The format combines live entertainment with competition, featuring special awards for vocal quality, best performance, and a critics' choice award.
Over the years, the festival stage has hosted artists who later achieved national fame: Gio Di Tonno, winner of the 2008 Sanremo Festival, Gianluca Ginoble, a member of the trio Il Volo, and tenor Piero Mazzocchetti. It is this talent-scouting vocation that makes the final a highly anticipated event for the Abruzzese public.
The grand finale is hosted by veteran showman and singer-songwriter Maurizio Tocco, the heart of the event, accompanied by Stella Cantelli, a former Italian skating champion. The jury, chaired by prominent musicians from the regional scene, evaluates the performances and awards the winner's title along with various accolades. The evening is enriched by entertainment, cabaret, and performances that engage the entire audience at the club.
By hosting the national final of the Festival della Melodia, the municipality of Spoltore confirms its status as a landmark for the Abruzzo music scene. For visitors, it is an opportunity to witness an authentic musical competition, immersed in the cultural fabric of the Pescara province, where a passion for Italian song, community spirit, and the discovery of new voices intertwine.
The 2026 grand finale of the Festival della Melodia took place on March 15, 2026, at the Magika nightclub in Villa Raspa, Spoltore (Pescara), starting in the afternoon. Eleven performers competed with original songs, evaluated by a jury chaired by multi-instrumentalist Andrea Pelusi.

The awards ceremony was conducted by Andrea Pelusi along with the club owners, Marisa and Claudio Cilli. Other awards included: best vocal quality to Pino Petrini for 'Battaglie di fuoco', best performance (ex aequo) to Chiara Medori and Fabio Luongo, and the critics' choice award to Fabrizia Di Fabio for 'Senza paura'.
