ScaFESTAte, the explosive summer of Scafa

ScaFESTAte is the summer festival of the Municipality of Scafa, a small town in the Pescara Valley in the province of Pescara, Abruzzo. Every year, between July and September, the calendar brings together dozens of cultural and entertainment events under one banner: concerts, open-air cinema, theater, book presentations, food festivals, exhibitions, children's entertainment, and traditional patronal feasts. It is the occasion for the town to gather in its squares and public spaces to enjoy the summer season together.

A widespread festival in the heart of the town

Events take place in various locations throughout the town: the main squares, the greenery of Parco Querolio, the former Clarisse Convent—a charming historic setting used for film screenings—and districts like Pianapuccia, which hosts the beer festival. This widespread format helps showcase different corners of Scafa and involves local associations, Pro Loco, committees, and businesses.

Music, traditions, and events for everyone

The ScaFESTAte program spans various genres and audiences. Past editions have featured concerts by Italian and Abruzzese singer-songwriters, pop and dance music nights, comedy shows, cinema under the stars, and moments dedicated to families. There is no shortage of culinary events and festive evenings like the Notte Rosa, with shops open late, markets, food trucks, parades, and musical performances that enliven the town until late at night.
