Two weeks of sport, nature, and music in the Magredi of Vivaro
In Vivaro, in the province of Pordenone, summer reaches its peak with the Festeggiamenti Ferragostani, an event that enlivens the town for about two weeks in August with a varied and very rich program. The setting is special: Vivaro is located on the edge of the Magredi, the arid, gravelly plain crossed by the Cellina and Meduna rivers, a unique environment that the festival helps to make known and loved.
The calendar intertwines different souls. There is sport, with beach volleyball tournaments and evening DJ sets; there is nature, with nature walks in the Magredi, sunrises accompanied by live music, and evenings dedicated to observing fireflies and stars; and there is music, with live concerts, aperitifs with arrosticini, and themed evenings, including the popular Argentine-inspired evenings.
There are also moments dedicated to families and children, with firefly watching, readings, and activities designed for the little ones, as well as night walks under the starry sky of the Magredi. It is a festival that unites generations and interests, capable of naturally transitioning from a beach volleyball match to a concert, from a sunrise walk to an evening toast.
Organized by the Pro Loco with the support of the Municipality of Vivaro, the Festeggiamenti Ferragostani are the moment when the town best presents itself: through sport, conviviality, and love for its territory, in one of the most authentic corners of the Pordenone plain.
For 2026, the event is expected in the first days of August, following the 2025 edition which ran from August 1st to 18th. The program will intertwine sport, nature, and music: beach volleyball tournaments with DJ sets, nature walks in the Magredi, live concerts, aperitifs with arrosticini, themed evenings, and initiatives for children such as firefly watching and stargazing.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be announced in the coming weeks.
Based on the previous edition, the widespread calendar includes:
How to get there: Vivaro is located in the Pordenone plain, reachable from Pordenone and Spilimbergo via provincial roads.
Admission: most events are free admission; some activities and excursions may require booking.
Accommodation: accommodation facilities in Pordenone, Spilimbergo, and nearby municipalities.
