The great summer festival on the banks of the Tagliamento
With over fifty years of history, the Festa Campestre di Vidulis is one of the most established summer events in the hilly region of Friuli. It takes place in the hamlet of Vidulis, in Dignano, in the Parco Festeggiamenti overlooking the banks of the Tagliamento river. It is not linked to a saint or a typical local product: its symbol is the clover, a sign of luck and joy.
The heart of the festival lies in its dancing evenings, with a packed schedule of dance orchestras, pop-rock bands, jazz trios, and DJs who liven up the summer nights. A tradition of 'liscio' (ballroom dancing) and group dances that attracts thousands of people from all over the surrounding area every year.
Among the most characteristic events are the Sunday morning tractor rally and the exhibition of birds and farmyard animals, from chickens to rabbits, which highlights the rural vocation of the area. The program also includes a non-competitive walk along the river, activities for children with inflatables, and themed evenings.
Promoted by the Festa Campestre Vidulis committee with the support of the Municipality of Dignano, the festival is a great community occasion that combines good food, music, and rural tradition in the natural setting of the Tagliamento, the "king of alpine rivers".
The Festa Campestre di Vidulis returns in July 2026 with its anticipated 54th edition, in the Parco Festeggiamenti on the banks of the Tagliamento. The formula, consolidated over half a century, includes dancing evenings with orchestras, food stalls, tractor rallies, animal exhibitions, and family activities. The precise dates for the 2026 edition will be announced in the coming weeks.
