The Celtic, Norse, and fantasy Summer Solstice festival in Lanzo Torinese
Every year, coinciding with the Summer Solstice, the town of Lanzo Torinese, in the province of Turin, transforms into a fairy-tale world thanks to ElfFest โ Celtic Festival of the Fae Folk. The setting is the evocative Parco del Foro Boario, at the gateway to the Valli di Lanzo, which for an entire weekend becomes a village suspended between myth and legend, where elves, fairies, druids, and free spirits create a shared universe of dance, storytelling, and magical atmospheres.
Founded in 2016, ElfFest has grown to become one of the most important events dedicated to Celtic, Norse, and fantasy culture in Northern Italy, attracting thousands of visitors from across Piedmont and beyond. The event is organized by MS Eventi in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Lanzo Torinese, which manages the food and wine area featuring traditional Canavese dishes.
The most anticipated moment is the Solstice Fire lighting ritual, which takes place on Saturday evening, gathering the public around the flames to celebrate the longest night of the year according to Celtic and Norse tradition. An immersive experience that combines spirituality, performance, and a sense of community, making ElfFest an unmissable stop for fans of the fairy-tale world and families looking for a unique experience in the greenery of the Turin valleys.
From June 19th to 21st, 2026, the Parco del Foro Boario in Lanzo Torinese hosts the tenth edition of ElfFest, a milestone celebrating a decade of encounters, dances, stories, and fairy-tale atmospheres. On stage, folk groups such as Mystiknot (Norse and medieval folk), Drifters (Irish folk), Alzamantes (folk rock), and The Clurs (folk punk) will perform, alongside fire shows, oriental dances, and light wings.
Among the offerings this year: the Merchant Village with over fifty artisan exhibitors, historical combat by the Clan dell'Artiglio, the divination area, lectures on magic and herbs, workshops, the children's area with face painting and ponies, the Elven Inn, and the Faun's Labyrinth. The highlight is scheduled for Saturday at 11:45 PM with the ritual and the lighting of the Solstice Fire.
