Agriculture, environment, and local traditions in the heart of Rivoli
Earth Day is the spring event that brings Corso Francia and Corso Susa to life every year, right at the entrance to the historic center of Rivoli, in the Metropolitan City of Turin. Promoted by TurismOvest in collaboration with the Coldiretti section of Rivoli and supported by the City of Rivoli (Departments of Agriculture and Commerce), the event celebrates agriculture, the environment, and local traditions through a large, free-entry public festival.
The heart of the day is the local farmers' market, accompanied by a rich exhibition of agricultural machinery, ranging from the most antique models to the most innovative and technological ones. Each edition focuses on a theme related to rural culture: from the history of wheat to that of corn, and even haymakingโthe ancient art of cutting and preserving hay. It is a journey that starts in the past and reaches the present, looking toward the future through the most modern techniques.
Along the avenues, you will find stalls filled with flowers, plants, and excellent local products, most notably the famous Biscotto Rivolotto De.Co., a symbol of Rivoli's confectionery tradition. For those wishing to dine outdoors, there is plenty of high-quality zero-km street food prepared by local producers, using excellent raw materials that tell the story of the authentic flavors of Piedmont.
Earth Day is an event also designed for the little ones: among the stalls, there are educational workshops dedicated to discovering agricultural products and machinery, as well as the unmissable pony rides. A Sunday to be enjoyed with the family, centered on discovery, play, and connection with the rural world.
The event is part of a wider calendar of initiatives that enliven Rivoli in the spring, from the Royal Community Tour with guided visits to the historic center and the famous Castle, to the Green Festival. It is an opportunity to discover this city in the province of Turin, its agricultural identity, and its deep bond with the territory of the lower Susa Valley.
On Sunday, April 19, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Rivoli celebrated the third edition of Earth Day along Corso Francia and Corso Susa, near the historic center. The central theme was haymaking, the ancient art of cutting and preserving hay, following previous editions dedicated to wheat and corn. Local farmers' stalls offered a journey from the past to the future of agriculture, with antique machinery and cutting-edge technologies, alongside stalls of flowers, plants, and typical products like the Biscotto Rivolotto De.Co. There was also space for zero-km street food prepared by local producers and activities for children.
Theme of the edition: haymaking, the art of cutting and preserving hay.
Rivoli is located a few kilometers west of Turin. By car, it can be reached from the Turin ring road (Rivoli exit) or along Corso Francia. During the event, traffic and parking are prohibited on Corso Francia and Corso Susa: it is recommended to use nearby parking lots, such as the Montalcini Parking. By public transport, Rivoli is connected to Turin via GTT lines.
The event takes place from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM with completely free admission.
