Sixty Years of Giving in Rubiera

The Don Andreoli Park Festival was established in 2026 to celebrate an important milestone: the 60th anniversary of AVIS Comunale of Rubiera, the volunteer association that has promoted blood donation in the Municipality of Rubiera, Province of Reggio Emilia, for six decades. For the occasion, volunteers have chosen to open their doors to the entire community with two days of celebration in the green spaces of Don Andreoli Park, one of the town's most beloved green areas.

A Community Celebration

The program combines live music, sports activities, moments of fun for all ages, and solidarity initiatives. It's the classic formula of Emilian village festivals, where volunteerism becomes an opportunity for connection: the same spirit that animates other events organized by AVIS Rubiera throughout the year, from the spring Magnalonga to the summer Beer Festival.

The park, equipped with ample outdoor spaces and areas for children, provides a natural setting for an event designed for families, where the festival also serves as a way to introduce new people to the message of donation.

Rubiera and the Bassa Reggiana

Rubiera is a municipality in the plain between Reggio Emilia and Modena, crossed by the Secchia River and historically linked to the Via Emilia. The local associative fabric is vibrant, and AVIS is one of its most deeply rooted realities: celebrating its sixtieth anniversary means recounting a part of the solidarity history of the Emilia-Romagna region.
