Food and wine evenings through the streets and courtyards of Tenna
Every year, in the heart of summer, the small village of Tenna, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), transforms for two evenings into the stage for Dent e For Dai Spiazi. The name, in the local Trentino dialect, evokes the idea of moving "in and out of the squares," referring to the streets, courtyards, and small piazzas of the historic center: this is the very essence of the festival, a widespread food and wine trail that invites visitors to stroll from one stall to another among the village houses.
The heart of the event lies in its food and wine stalls—about a dozen stations managed by the Pro Loco and local associations—where you can taste traditional Trentino dishes, local products, and freshly prepared specialties. Tables set up along the streets are accompanied by live music in the square, with bands and artists enlivening the evenings until late at night, alongside a rich program of entertainment for children, making the event perfect for the whole family.
Dent e For Dai Spiazi is organized by the Pro Loco Tenna APS and is part of the Vigolana summer events promoted in Valsugana. Like many Trentino village festivals, it is part of the National Pro Loco Day calendar, an initiative held every July to celebrate the work of volunteers and network hundreds of events across the region. Admission is free, and the festival is a wonderful opportunity to rediscover the village of Tenna, overlooking the lakes of Valsugana at the foot of the Vigolana Plateau.
Situated between Lake Caldonazzo and Lake Levico, in the Municipality of Tenna, the village is a popular destination for summer tourism in Trentino. The Dent e For Dai Spiazi festival is one of the most cherished moments for the local community and an invitation for residents and visitors alike to experience the authentic atmosphere of a mountain village in celebration.
Over the weekend of July 10 and 11, 2026, Tenna hosted a new edition of Dent e For Dai Spiazi. The streets and courtyards of the historic center were filled with nine food and wine stalls offering typical Trentino flavors, accompanied by music in the square and entertainment for children.
The event, managed by the Pro Loco Tenna APS, was included in the calendar of the 9th National Pro Loco Day, an initiative that every summer connects hundreds of festivals organized by Trentino volunteers. Free entry and a festive atmosphere for two evenings dedicated to conviviality in the Vigolana village.
