An open-air tasting experience with La Morra's winemakers, now in an evening version among the Langhe hills
There is a place in the heart of the Langhe where the gaze embraces a sea of vineyards stretching all the way to the Alps: it is the viewpoint of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo, one of the most photographed panoramic terraces in Piedmont. It is right here, in Piazza Castello, that Degusta La Morra under the stars will take place on July 10, 2026, marking the first summer evening edition of the village's most anticipated wine event.
Degusta La Morra began as a large daytime tasting event in early September, where local winemakers welcomed visitors from behind their barrels to share the stories of their wines. In 2026, the format expands: alongside the classic appointment on September 6, this new July evening event arrives, designed to experience wine as the sun sets behind the hills and the air turns crisp.
The essence of the event remains unchanged: traditional barrels are arranged in the square as tables to gather around, glass in hand. La Morra's producers pour the region's great reds, from Barolo to Nebbiolo, as well as Barbera and Dolcetto d'Alba, in a journey that is both a tasting and a narrative. It is the perfect opportunity to meet the winemakers in person and discover the soul of a denomination that has made this corner of Piedmont world-famous.
The tasting is accompanied by high-quality street food, provided by the kitchens of Sbaffalo and Coj โ More Than Food, with live music serving as the soundtrack to the evening. The atmosphere is informal and convivial, like a high-end village festival: no massive stages, just the authentic pleasure of being together with good wine, local dishes, and a view that turns deep blue as dusk falls.
During the evening, the historic center of La Morra comes alive and invites you to stroll: from the cobblestone streets to the viewpoint, every corner of the village offers glimpses of the surrounding hills. The event is organized by the Cantina Comunale di La Morra in collaboration with La Morra Eventi e Turismo, organizations that have been promoting the region and its wines for years.
The 2026 edition marks an absolute novelty: for the first time, Degusta La Morra offers a summer evening event, anticipating the traditional September edition by a few months. On Friday, July 10, 2026, from 7:30 PM, Piazza Castello (the viewpoint) will host an open-air tasting featuring the winemakers of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo.
Barrels return as tables, while producers pour local wines. Accompanying the glasses, high-quality street food from Sbaffalo and Coj โ More Than Food, along with live music. The classic daytime format is also confirmed for September 6, 2026.
The full list of participating producers and schedule details will be announced by the Cantina Comunale di La Morra closer to the event.
