Death in Cembra is a music festival dedicated to death metal and extreme metal, blending the intensity of the genre with the pristine beauty of the Trentino landscape. The event takes place at the Happy Ranch in the Lago Santo area, within the municipality of Cembra Lisignago, in the province of Trento, Trentino-Alto Adige. The format is a free summer open-air event, nestled in the woods of Val di Cembra, one of Trentino's most distinctive valleys, famous for its terraced vineyards and dry-stone walls.
An independent project, born from the grassroots
Death in Cembra is a completely independent initiative, born from the passion of a group of enthusiasts with a "by fans, for fans" spirit. The festival serves as a benchmark for the underground scene, focusing on authenticity: free admission, free on-site camping, and a lineup representing the best of the national extreme metal scene. Following its indoor debut in November 2024, the event evolved into a summer open-air festival, drawing crowds from across Italy to a unique natural setting.

The day is entirely devoted to metal in all its forms, from old-school death metal to more technical and atmospheric sounds. Beyond the live concerts, the festival offers social gatherings, themed DJ sets, and the opportunity to camp for free at the ranch, making the experience a true immersion into metal culture amidst nature.

The 2026 edition of Death in Cembra was held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Happy Ranch in Lago Santo, Cembra Lisignago (TN), starting at 4:00 PM. The open-air format with free admission and free on-site camping was confirmed. Six bands from the national extreme scene took the stage, featuring historic names of Italian metal.
