Dance Meets the Mountains
Courmayeur in Danza is the festival that transforms the famous Aosta Valley resort (Province of Aosta) into the capital of dance every summer. For a week, young dancers from all over Italy gather in Courmayeur to study with international-level teachers, in a temporary village set up at the middle school on Viale Monte Bianco.
Workshops and Masterclasses
The heart of the event is training: daily lessons in classical, contemporary, jazz, modern, hip hop, musical theatre, and country dance, with morning and afternoon sessions led by prestigious instructors. It's a precious opportunity for young dancers to challenge themselves, grow, and receive inspiration from established professionals.
The Trofeo Danza sul Bianco
Among the most evocative events is the Trofeo Danza sul Bianco, an awards ceremony hosted at the Pavillon du Mont Fréty of Skyway Monte Bianco, at over 2,100 meters altitude: an award for young talents who have distinguished themselves in national and international competitions, literally rewarded at the top of the Alps.
The Final Grand Gala
The week concludes with the Grand Gala and the presentation of the Helen Nathan Loro Piana Award, dedicated to emerging professional dancers. An evening of performance where students showcase the choreographies created during the workshops for the Courmayeur audience. The festival is organized by the Associazione Courmayeur in Danza and represents one of the most characteristic cultural events of the summer in the Aosta Valley.

Courmayeur in Danza 2026, now in its 21st edition, enlivens Courmayeur from July 4th to 11th. For a week, at the middle school village on Viale Monte Bianco, daily lessons (9:30 AM-12:30 PM and 2:30 PM-6:30 PM) in various disciplines will take place. The highlights are the Trofeo Danza sul Bianco at Skyway Monte Bianco and the concluding Grand Gala at Courmayeur Cinema, with the presentation of the Helen Nathan Loro Piana Award.

- 6:15 PM — Book presentation "Incontro con la Danza" (Meeting with Dance) with Anna Maria Prina, former director of the Ballet School of Teatro alla Scala

- 11:00 AM — Trofeo Danza sul Bianco: awards ceremony for young talents distinguished in national and international competitions, at over 2,100 meters altitude
Saturday, July 11th — Courmayeur Cinema

Getting Here
Courmayeur is reachable by car via the A5 motorway, Courmayeur exit. The festival village is located at the middle school on Viale Monte Bianco 40. Skyway Monte Bianco, the venue for the Trophy, departs from the hamlet of Entrèves.
