Three days of sport and solidarity in the heart of Tolmezzo
CorriCarnia was born in 2026 as an event that brings together sport and solidarity in the capital of Carnia, Tolmezzo. The initiative, organized by the committee La Carnia per Te together with the Nuova Pro Loco Tolmezzo, unfolds over three days at the beginning of June and has a clearly charitable purpose: to support research on rare diseases and children of the region. It is a village festival conceived as a collective gesture, where every moment โ sporting, cultural, or convivial โ contributes to a solidarity fundraising effort.
The central moment is the 'La Corlete' charity non-competitive relay, a team race lasting a total of eight hours (8ร1 hour format) held in Piazza XX Settembre, in the heart of Tolmezzo. An inclusive format, open to all, which makes participation and togetherness the real goal, more than the stopwatch. Around the relay, a program unfolds that intertwines entertainment, tradition, and hospitality.
The event opens with the procession of the Madonna di Monte Amariana and the evening show 'Note, passi e stelle' (Notes, steps, and stars), in an interweaving of faith and culture typical of the Carnia communities. The central day is dedicated to the relay race, while the closing is marked by a charity lunch that brings together participants, volunteers, and citizens. It is a format that values local volunteering and the community spirit that characterizes Carnia.
CorriCarnia takes place in Tolmezzo, in the province of Udine, with its epicenter in Piazza XX Settembre. The event is scheduled for the beginning of June, over three consecutive days.
The inaugural edition of CorriCarnia, from June 5 to 7, 2026, debuts in Tolmezzo with a program that combines sport, culture, and solidarity.
