About Corri con Anna

Corri con Anna is a charity running and walking event that brings Capoliveri, on the Island of Elba in the province of Livorno, to life every spring. Organized in memory of young Anna Puccini, the event combines sport, nature, and charity along a 12-kilometre route winding through Mediterranean scrub, old iron mines, and coastal vistas. Open to all ages, with the start and finish in Piazza Matteotti, it is a solidarity event promoted by the I Sogni di Anna Odv association together with ASD Polisport Capoliveri.

Corri con Anna: sport and solidarity in Capoliveri

Every spring, the village of Capoliveri, a jewel of the Island of Elba in the province of Livorno and the heart of Tuscany, hosts Corri con Anna, a running and walking event that is much more than just a race. The event was created to remember young Anna Puccini, who passed away in 2022 due to a serious illness: her family founded the I Sogni di Anna Odv association, which organizes initiatives dedicated to social causes, animals, and sport. Corri con Anna is its flagship event, a date that turns a spring day into an occasion for sport, sharing, and generosity.

A route between the sea and Mediterranean scrub

The race starts from Piazza Matteotti, in the centre of Capoliveri, and follows a 12-kilometre trail that crosses Via Gori and continues on paved roads towards the Costa dei Gabbiani, up to the panoramic loop overlooking the town. For those who prefer a more relaxed pace, there is also a 6-kilometre walk. The route offers breathtaking sea views, the intense scent of Mediterranean scrub, and the unique colours of the old iron mines that tell the island's history.

An event for all ages

Corri con Anna is designed to involve the entire community: the morning opens with registration and bib collection, continues with the race dedicated to children and teenagers, accompanied by entertainment and bouncy castles, and culminates with the start of the competitive run and the walk. Athletes and volunteers from numerous Elban sports clubs, including Atletica Isola d'Elba, Atletica Elba, Virtus Elba, and Atletica Amaranto, bring the event to life every year, which concludes with the awards ceremony and the traditional pasta party.

Capoliveri, the setting for the race

Perched on a hill overlooking the sea, the Municipality of Capoliveri is one of the most evocative villages on the Island of Elba and the Tuscan archipelago. Its narrow streets, beaches, and hinterland rich in mining history provide the ideal backdrop for an event that combines sporting passion with a commitment to solidarity. Participating in Corri con Anna means supporting the initiatives of the I Sogni di Anna association and experiencing the island on one of the days most cherished by the local community.

Corri con Anna โ€” edition 2026

The third edition of Corri con Anna took place on Sunday, April 26, 2026, in Capoliveri, with the start and finish in Piazza Matteotti and ideal weather conditions. The 12 km run and the walk attracted athletes and families from all over the Island of Elba for a day of sport and solidarity in memory of Anna Puccini.

The third edition of Corri con Anna confirmed the success of the solidarity event in Capoliveri. The day, blessed with ideal weather, saw numerous athletes from Elban clubs competing: Atletica Isola d'Elba, Atletica Elba, Virtus Elba, and Atletica Amaranto.

Among the men, victory went to Jacopo Paolini (50'12"), followed by Nicola Fortuna (50'43") and Bryan Fantozzi (52'56"). In the women's field, first place went to Laura Scappini (1h02'), ahead of Fabiana Mannocci and Katy Lupi (1h10'55").

More than just a race, it was a moment of community: the Puccini family and the volunteers enlivened the day with enthusiasm, confirming the charitable spirit of the I Sogni di Anna Odv association.
