The mountain bike race through the badlands of Rocca San Casciano, a stage of the Romagna Bike Cup
The Colline Rocchigiane is one of the most keenly felt mountain bike races in the Tuscan-Romagnol Apennines. It takes place in Rocca San Casciano, a small municipality in the province of Forlì-Cesena located in the upper valley of the Montone river, in Emilia-Romagna. The name refers to the inhabitants of the town, the "rocchigiani", and the hills that surround it: a landscape of wooded ridges and spectacular badlands, the characteristic clay formations that make this corner of Romagna unique.
The event is a cross-country mountain bike race organized by the UISP Committee of Forlì-Cesena together with the Contest360° circuit. The competitive course winds through dirt roads, paths, and single tracks immersed in nature, alternating challenging climbs and technical descents with panoramic views of the hills and badlands. It is a race suitable for both competitors, who are chasing points for the general classification, and for hikers who want to cycle through the woods without the pressure of the clock.
The Colline Rocchigiane is part of the calendar of the Romagna Bike Cup, the travelling circuit that each year visits various locations in Romagna and the Apennines between April and August, and is also part of the Appennino Short trophy. The race is therefore a benchmark event for local bikers, who meet here for one of the season's races.
In addition to the competition, the Colline Rocchigiane is a celebration for enthusiasts and families. The start and finish are set up in the heart of the town, and the day ends with refreshments along the course and the traditional pasta party for all participants, a moment of conviviality that brings together competitors, hikers, and companions. An opportunity to discover Rocca San Casciano and the authenticity of the Forlì Apennines on a mountain bike.

The start was given at 9:30 AM, with a refreshment point along the course and the traditional final pasta party for all participants.
