A speed race in the heart of Western Sicily

The Città Internazionale dei Marmi Automotive Slalom is one of the most awaited motorsport competitions on the Sicilian calendar. It is held in Custonaci, a small town in the province of Trapani famous for its marble quarries, which earned it the title of "International City of Marble." The event, organized by Promoter Kinisia with the patronage of the Municipality of Custonaci, transforms the town's streets into a theater of speed and adrenaline for a weekend.

The track and race format

The track spans approximately 2.5 kilometers within the municipal area, marked by speed-slowing barriers arranged along the course according to the typical automotive slalom format. The race includes a reconnaissance run followed by three timed heats: the winner is the driver with the best overall time. Technical and sporting checks take place on Saturday at Piazzale Cornino, while Sunday is entirely dedicated to the competition.

Sporting status

The Custonaci Slalom is a qualifying round for the Trofeo d'Italia Sud and the Sicilian Slalom Championship, with a 1.5 coefficient, attracting a large and competitive field of drivers from across Sicily and Southern Italy. Protagonist vehicles include prototypes such as Radicals, Glorias, and many single-seaters and silhouette cars that define this specialty.

The setting and the territory

Beyond the competitive aspect, the event is a major draw for Custonaci and all of Western Sicily. The town is located in a landscape of great charm, near the Monte Cofano promontory and the beaches of Cornino, and is easily accessible from Trapani and the San Vito Lo Capo area. For motorsport fans, race day is also an opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Sicily Region, blending nature, sea, and a rich mining tradition.
