A market fair dedicated to flowers, aromatic plants, and ceramics in the heart of the Roero Astigiano region
Every spring, the small village of Cellarengo, in the province of Asti, transforms into a grand market fair dedicated to greenery, craftsmanship, and fine food. Cellarinia is an event that brings nurserymen, ceramicists, food producers, and selected artisans to the streets and squares of the town, in a journey that unfolds from morning until sunset. The heart of the event is Piazza Castelvecchio, but the entire historic center is involved, creating an immersive atmosphere that invites you to stroll at your leisure.
The event was born as a tribute to Maria Luisa Sotti, a botanist and writer who was one of Europe's leading experts on aromatic and medicinal herbs, and who had her own nursery-laboratory right here in Cellarengo called "Cellarinia". The event takes its name from this deep bond with the territory, and each year it explores a different theme centered around the world of plants, flowers, and the fruits of the earth.
Cellarinia is more than just a market: every edition features meetings with experts, communicators, and producers who share insights into the relationship between nature, science, and culture. The event is recognized by the Piedmont Region and is organized by the Pro Loco of Cellarengo in collaboration with the Gruppo Fritto Mistico, with the support of the Municipality.
Nestled in the hilly landscape on the border between the Roero and Asti regions, Cellarengo is a small town in the province of Asti easily accessible from the A21 and A6 motorways. Cellarinia is the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of Piedmont, amidst greenery, flavors, and artisanal tradition, with free admission and a focus on accessibility for families and people with disabilities.
Cellarengo (AT) can be reached by car from the A21 motorway (Villanova d'Asti exit) or the A6 motorway (Carmagnola exit). Parking is available at the entrances to the village from Montà d'Alba, Pralormo, and Valfenera; the center is easily accessible on foot.
The event runs from morning until sunset (approximate hours 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM). Free admission, no reservation required.
The center is pedestrian-friendly and easily accessible for strollers and people with disabilities.
