The Autumn Fair, a tradition in the center of Asti

The Autumn Fair is one of the most anticipated commercial events in the city calendar of Asti, in the heart of Piedmont. Together with the Spring Fair and the historic Carolingian Fair, it is one of the three major fairs organized annually by the Municipality of Asti, winding through the streets and squares of the historic center. The Autumn Fair is traditionally held on the second Sunday of October, when the mild days and seasonal colors provide the perfect backdrop for a stroll among the stalls.

Hundreds of stalls in the heart of the city

For an entire day, from dawn to dusk, the center of Asti transforms into a large open-air market. The stalls are spread along the city's main axes: Piazza Alfieri, Corso Alfieri, Viale alla Vittoria, Piazza della Libertà, and Corso Dante. It is a general fair that brings together licensed street vendors, hobbyists, and local agricultural producers.

The city, a provincial capital in southeastern Piedmont, is famous for its wines, its Palio, and the historical heritage of its medieval center. In October, the surrounding territory experiences the harvest and truffle season, and a visit to the fair can easily be combined with exploring the Monferrato hills, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
