For one whole night, the town center is transformed: pedestrian streets are closed to traffic, shops remain open until late, bars and restaurants bring the squares to life, and every corner of the town hosts music, shows, and shopping opportunities. It is the evening that officially kicks off the peak of the Cecina summer, with thousands of people flocking to the center and the seafront.

The Radio Stop Festival, the musical soul of the White Night

The beating heart of the event is the Radio Stop Festival, the historic summer tour by the Tuscan station Radio Stop, directed by Roberto Giannoni. With over twenty-five years of history, the festival is a showcase for Italian pop music, alternating big names with emerging young talents, including many alumni from Sanremo and the most popular talent shows. The evenings, which are free to attend, take place in the town's squares—particularly Piazza Guerrazzi—and attract a vast audience, especially among the youth.

The 2026 edition with Orietta Berti

In 2026, the Radio Stop Festival stops in Cecina for two events: an opening night on July 7th and the grand White Night on July 17th, featuring special guest Orietta Berti, an timeless icon of Italian light music. The evening is part of the Radio Stop summer tour that travels along the Tuscan coast, from Grosseto to Piombino, passing through Cecina and Marina di Castagneto Carducci. Admission is free until capacity is reached in the square.

An event for the whole city

The White Night is organized by Radio Stop in collaboration with the Municipality of Cecina and the CCN Cecina Centro, the local merchants' association. It is not just a concert, but a widespread celebration that combines music, commerce, and social life: during the evening, the center fills with stalls, entertainment, DJ sets, and initiatives dedicated to families and young people.
