CavaNerd: pop culture arrives in Cavallermaggiore

CavaNerd is the new event dedicated to nerd, otaku, and pop culture making its debut in Cavallermaggiore, a town in the Cuneo plains of Piedmont. The appointment is for Sunday, June 21, 2026, the first day of summer, when Piazza Vittorio Emanuele II and the municipal wing will host a day entirely devoted to the geek world, with free admission from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

A fair for all enthusiasts

Organized by ASD CV SC Events in collaboration with the comic book store Ohana Comics of Rosario Distefano (Savigliano), CavaNerd brings together about fourteen exhibitors, including hobbyists and vendors, in the square. The exhibition space spans comics, illustrated albums, and manga, with an area dedicated to Japanese culture, trading cards, and a thematic sector dedicated to LEGO bricks.

Cosplay, games, and simulators

The program focuses on live entertainment. The protagonists are the cosplayers, coordinated by Luigi Viapiano, who will bring the day to life by dressing as famous characters from comics, anime, and video games. There is also space for a board game association, a lightsaber dueling school, and activities designed to involve both adults and children.

A first edition looking to the future

As the organizers emphasize, this first edition of CavaNerd is intentionally compact: a small fair capable of containing a bit of everything, so that everyone can find their own space. The stated goal is to grow in the years to come and consolidate a fixed appointment for pop culture in the Municipality of Cavallermaggiore and throughout the province of Cuneo, in Piedmont. An opportunity to discover the ferment of local nerd realities up close, in a festive day suitable for families, collectors, and enthusiasts of all ages.
