Summer concerts in the courtyard of the Stachlburg castle-winery in Parcines
Castle Beats is a summer concert series held in the inner courtyard of Ansitz Stachlburg, the castle-winery that overlooks the village of Parcines (Partschins) in the autonomous province of Bolzano, Trentino-Alto Adige. Every summer, three evenings transform the historic residence's romantic courtyard into an open-air stage, where live music engages with the ancient stones and the Burgraviato landscape, just a stone's throw from Merano.
The foundations of Stachlburg date back to the 13th century, and the residence still retains the cozy atmosphere of a South Tyrolean manor. Since the 1990s, the complex has also housed a renowned winery, Schlossweingut Stachlburg, which cultivates its vineyards according to organic and biodynamic principles. During the concerts, the estate's wines accompany the evenings, blending the pleasure of listening with that of tasting in an authentically South Tyrolean context.
The series focuses on the local music scene: each edition hosts musicians and bands from South Tyrol offering diverse genres, from pop to folk, and singer-songwriter to rock. Over the years, the courtyard stage has featured names such as Jimi Henndreck, Sepp Messner Windschnur, Blue Folks, Emily Ferri, Tracy Merano, Brennet Liab, and many other performers from the South Tyrolean scene. Concerts generally start at 8:30 PM and last for about two hours in the soft light of summer evenings.
Castle Beats is organized by the Parcines, Rablà and Tel Tourist Office and is part of the rich summer calendar of the Municipality of Parcines, which also includes hikes, markets, and cultural appointments. The intimate formula, the limited capacity of the courtyard, and the choice to showcase local artists make the series a popular event for both locals and guests vacationing in the Merano area and the lower Vinschgau Valley.
For the summer of 2026, Castle Beats confirms its three-event formula in the courtyard of the Stachlburg castle-winery in Parcines. The schedule features Alle Eyes On on Friday, June 5, The Flatmates on Friday, July 3, and Simple Men on Friday, August 7, with concerts starting at 8:30 PM and ending around 10:30 PM.
The three bands from the South Tyrolean scene will perform within the historic walls of the residence, in a cozy and evocative setting. The evenings are accompanied by organic wines from the Stachlburg estate. For information on admission and reservations, please contact the Parcines, Rablà and Tel Tourist Office.
Parcines/Partschins is located in the Burgraviato region, about 8 km from Merano along the Vinschgau Valley road (SS38). By car, it can be reached from Merano in about ten minutes; Ansitz Stachlburg is located in the town center. By train, the reference station is Merano, which is then connected by bus to Parcines and Rablà.
Concerts start at 8:30 PM and last about two hours. For information on admission, tickets, and reservations, please contact the Parcines, Rablà and Tel Tourist Office (tel. +39 0473 967157, [email protected]).
The courtyard is outdoors: a light jacket is recommended for cooler evenings. Combine with a visit to the Stachlburg winery and walks in the Merano area.
