The spring celebration in the medieval village of Castelfalfi
The Castelfalfi Spring Festival is the event that welcomes spring in the charming medieval village of Castelfalfi, a hamlet of the municipality of Montaione, in the province of Florence. For an entire weekend in March, the streets, squares, and corners of the village fill with flowers, colors, art installations, and scents, offering visitors an immersive experience of nature, taste, and creativity in the heart of Tuscany.
Castelfalfi is one of the most fascinating villages in the Florentine territory: perched on a hill surrounded by woods, vineyards, and olive groves, it preserves its medieval soul made of stone, panoramic views, and silence. This setting makes the festival a perfect opportunity to discover (or rediscover) an authentic corner of the hills between the Valdelsa and the upper Valdera, far from the beaten paths of Tuscan tourism.
The program is designed to offer something for every type of visitor, from families with children to lovers of crafts and good food:
The festival combines fun with a dimension of solidarity: in recent editions, the Anna Meyer Pediatric Hospital Foundation has been present with a stand where visitors can make free donations to support projects dedicated to the children of the Florentine pediatric hospital.
Admission to the Castelfalfi Spring Festival is free but requires mandatory booking: access to the village is organized in time slots to ensure the best enjoyment of the activities. A simple and pleasant occasion to spend a spring day in the open air, among art, taste, and music, in one of the most scenic villages of the municipality of Montaione and the entire province of Florence.
The 2026 Castelfalfi Spring Festival transformed the medieval village of Castelfalfi, in Montaione (FI), into a blaze of flowers, colors, and art installations. The edition confirmed the festival's proven formula: free admission with mandatory booking and access divided into two time slots to best experience the spring atmosphere of the Tuscan hills.
The event took place throughout the day, with access in two time slots (11:00 AM - 4:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM). Highlights included:
