Valdelsa New Year's Eve is the major year-end festival that lights up Piazza Arnolfo di Cambio—the town's main square in Colle di Val d'Elsa—for three nights in the heart of the Sienese Valdelsa. Between December 29th and 31st, the square and the adjacent Michelucci area become a vibrant party hub with live music, DJ sets, entertainment, shows, and street food, creating an engaging atmosphere perfect for families, young people, and groups of friends.

A Regional Celebration

The event was born with the goal of promoting the Valdelsa region by bridging the gap between neighboring towns. It is held under the patronage of the Municipalities of Poggibonsi, Radicondoli, and Casole d'Elsa, alongside Colle di Val d'Elsa, and exclusively features local businesses rather than large chains. Having returned after a long hiatus, the festival has quickly established itself as one of the most popular Christmas-season events in the Province of Siena, drawing thousands of people to the square.

Three Nights of Entertainment

The program spans three evenings starting in the late afternoon, featuring a stage equipped with impressive audiovisual effects. Each night offers a different musical theme: from 90s hits to indie nights, culminating in the grand finale on December 31st with a 360-degree DJ set covering pop, rap, rock, and chart-toppers to welcome the New Year with a midnight toast.

Between Upper and Lower Colle

Colle di Val d'Elsa is a Tuscan town world-renowned for its crystal production, divided between the charming medieval village of Colle Alta, perched on the hill, and the more modern lower town where Piazza Arnolfo is located. Attending the Valdelsa New Year's Eve is also a great opportunity to discover one of the most characteristic locations in the Siena area, just a few kilometers from San Gimignano, Monteriggioni, and Siena.

During the event, the introduction of glass bottles and cans into the square and surrounding areas is generally prohibited to ensure safety and the smooth running of the festivities.
