The Castagnata di Fusine
Fusine is a municipality in the mid-Valtellina region, in the province of Sondrio, located on the Orobic side between Sondrio and the entrance to Val Madre. Its main church is dedicated to Saint Lawrence the Martyr, a parish of ancient foundation (16th century), a sign of the deep-rooted history of this mountain village.
When autumn colours the woods, Fusine renews its castagnata: a village festival dedicated to roasted chestnuts and local specialties, an occasion to gather around the flavours of the season.
