In Chiuro, in the province of Sondrio, viticulture is part of the territory's identity: we are in the heart of the wine-producing Valtellina, where Nebbiolo grapes (called Chiavennasca here) grow on terraces climbing the Alps. Il Grappolo d'Oro is the event that celebrates this excellence, transforming the village into a large tasting circuit.

Wineries, courtyards, and Barrel Race

For a few days, the historic center of Chiuro comes alive: over twenty wineries open their stands among ancient palaces and courtyards, offering tastings of the valley's great wines, from Valtellina Superiore DOCG to Sforzato. The wine route is enriched by:

• Guided tastings with experts and sommeliers
• Concerts, theatrical performances, and conferences
• Food and wine walks between the historic center and vineyards
• The spectacular Corsa delle Botti (Barrel Race), the fun highlight of the festival
