Established in the early 2000s by the Circolo Nereto 2001 - Anziani & Giovani, the festival reached its twenty-second edition in 2025, confirming its status as one of the most popular summer gatherings in the Vibrata territory. The event takes place in August under the patronage of the Municipality of Nereto and actively involves local producers from the Val Vibrata.

Capra alla neretese

The absolute star is capra alla neretese, a traditional Abruzzese pastoral dish recognized by the Abruzzo Region as a typical agri-food product. It consists of goat meat morsels slow-cooked in a stew with tomato, onion, wine, and spices, accompanied by tasty fried red peppers. It is a recipe with a bold flavor, passed down from generation to generation, tied to the rural and pastoral history of this strip of Abruzzo bordering the Marche region.
