Street performers bring the heart of Camposano to life
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
The Camposano Buskers Festival is an annual event that, every December, transforms the center of Camposano, a small town in the Nolano area near Naples, into a grand open-air stage. For two evenings, the town's streets and squares fill with jugglers, acrobats, musicians, and roving performers, in a well-established appointment eagerly awaited by the local community and visitors from neighboring towns.
The festival unfolds across the town's most iconic landmarks: Piazza Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele III, and the Villa Comunale. Starting in the evening, shows take place in a roving format, allowing the audience to move from one spot to another and be surprised by the diverse performances. The administration's stated goal is to enhance urban spaces and offer the city an occasion for celebration, culture, and social connection.
The artistic lineup blends live music, roving acts, circus arts, and moments of magic. It is a program designed for families and all ages, capable of turning the town center into a place of wonder and fun. Admission to all shows is traditionally free, in keeping with the popular and inclusive spirit of the event.
Alongside the performances, an area dedicated to street food and local products accompanies the public in a complete experience of flavors, entertainment, and social interaction. The taste of Campanian tradition becomes an integral part of the festival, combining the discovery of the territory with the pleasure of being together.
The Camposano Buskers Festival is part of the «Itinerari del Gusto e dell'Anima - Cultura, Natura e Sapori nei Borghi Campani» program, funded by the Campania Region. The project connects various municipalities in the Nolano and Vesuvius areas with the goal of promoting villages, traditions, and local excellence through widespread events.
Located in the Nolano area, in Campania, Camposano is a small town that has become a reference point for local street performers thanks to this festival. The event helps strengthen the town's identity and places it, for a few days each year, at the center of the cultural scene in the province of Naples.
At the moment, the Municipality of Camposano has not yet published the dates and program for the new edition of the Camposano Buskers Festival. Based on previous editions, the festival is expected to once again bring the town center to life during December, between Piazza Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele III, and the Villa Comunale.
The shows are held in the center of Camposano (NA), between Piazza Umberto I, Corso Vittorio Emanuele III, and the Villa Comunale.
By car, Camposano can be reached from the Nola exit of the A16 Naples-Canosa motorway, continuing along the local Nolano road network. By train, the Circumvesuviana station in Nola is the closest, with connections from Naples.
In previous editions, all shows were free to attend. Dates and the detailed program are announced by the Municipality of Camposano.
