The Camporeale enduro ride

The Camporeale Enduro Ride, also known as Camporeale in Moto, has become a classic fixture of the Sicilian motorcycling autumn. Every year, usually towards the end of October, dozens of enduro enthusiasts head to the small town of Camporeale, in the province of Palermo, to spend a day entirely dedicated to off-road riding and exploring the local landscape on their bikes.

A non-competitive excursion

It is important to clarify one fundamental aspect: the Camporeale Enduro Ride is not a race. It is a non-competitive excursion event, suitable for road-legal enduro motorcycles. There are no times or rankings: the goal is to enjoy a day of riding together, surrounded by nature, fun, and camaraderie. For this very reason, the event is popular with families and riders of various experience levels, all united by a passion for knobby tires.

The route through the hills

The trail winds for about 30 kilometers within the territory of Camporeale, with a total elevation gain of approximately 1500 meters. The ride starts from the town's historic center, from where participants head towards the surrounding hills, crossing vineyards, trails, and dirt paths. Camporeale, known as the City of Wine and Wood, sits at an altitude of about 440 meters in the heart of western Sicily, set against a backdrop of rolling, vine-covered hills: the ideal setting for a day of enduro riding.

A well-established tradition

In 2025, the event reached its 13th edition, a sign of a tradition firmly rooted in the calendar of the island's enduro enthusiasts. Organized by the Enduro dello Jato association (Enduro Vallejato ASD), the ride has also become a tourist promotion opportunity for the Municipality of Camporeale, attracting riders from various parts of Sicily.

Discovering Camporeale and Sicily

Participating in the Enduro Ride is also a way to discover an authentic corner of western Sicily, far from mass tourism circuits. Camporeale, in the province of Palermo, is surrounded by hills, mountains, and verdant valleys, and boasts a solid winemaking tradition with wineries known throughout the island. Between one dirt track and the next, the day becomes the perfect opportunity to combine a passion for off-roading with the pleasure of exploring the territory and its landscapes.
