The SFOM musical review between castles, auditoriums, and churches of the Aosta Valley
Cambio Musica is the major review that concludes the academic year of SFOM, the School of Musical Training and Orientation in Aosta. For several weeks between April and June, concerts, recitals, and sound installations bring life to the most beautiful places in the Aosta Valley, transforming castles, auditoriums, squares, and churches into scattered stages. The students and teachers of the school are the protagonists, in a journey that enhances musical training and the talent of young people.
The heart of the event is the concert at the Royal Castle of Sarre, in the province of Aosta, but the program touches numerous municipalities in the region — from Aymavilles to Arvier, from Pont-Saint-Martin to Verrès — with events ranging from chamber music to jazz, from funk and soul to baroque music, up to sound and light installations. A multidisciplinary program that creates a dialogue between different genres and languages.
The 2026 edition, the XXII, is titled "Ritmi e Visioni" (Rhythms and Visions) and is inspired by Innocenzo Manzetti, the Aosta Valley inventor whose bicentenary of birth is being celebrated. The theme of innovation and ingenuity runs through the entire program, from "Ingranaggi Sonori" (Sound Gears) to "Circuiti Armonici" (Harmonic Circuits), up to the project "Onde sonore: Manzetti e l'innovazione" (Sound Waves: Manzetti and Innovation), in a tribute that combines music, technology, and Aosta Valley identity.
The XXII edition of Cambio Musica, titled "Ritmi e Visioni" (Rhythms and Visions) and inspired by the bicentenary of Innocenzo Manzetti, unfolds from April 26 to June 14, 2026, through the most evocative locations in the Aosta Valley. The program alternates jazz, baroque music, funk and soul, chamber music, and sound installations, with the highlight concert "Sfom da Camera" at the Royal Castle of Sarre on May 23. Around sixty young musicians, both students and teachers from SFOM, will take turns on stage.
