Cycling in the heart of Gran Paradiso
GranParadisoBike is one of the most scenic mountain bike races in Italy. It takes place in Cogne, in the province of Aosta, within the Gran Paradiso National Park, and is organized by Gruppo Sportivo Aosta ASD. The route crosses some of the most spectacular natural environments of the Alps, featuring technical single tracks, pastures, and high-altitude woods.
Two formats for all levels
The event offers two routes:
- the competitive race of approximately 40 km with 1,200 meters of positive elevation gain, part of the Nord Ovest MTB circuit;
- the non-competitive cycling tour of 20 km, open to everyone, including e-bikes, which also serves as the official route for youth categories (Esordienti and Allievi).
FCI (Italian Cycling Federation) membership is not required for the competitive race, making it accessible even to non-professional enthusiasts.
Sport and village festival
GranParadisoBike is not just a race: the finish in Cogne is accompanied by a polenta party, refreshments, and a final DJ set, creating a festive atmosphere that involves athletes, companions, and local residents. It's an opportunity to experience outdoor sports in the unique setting of the Aosta Valley.

The 26th edition of GranParadisoBike is scheduled for Sunday, September 20, 2026, in Cogne. Two routes in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park: the 40 km competitive race and the 20 km cycling tour open to all.

Sunday, September 20, 2026
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM — Registration and bib collection;
- 10:00 AM — Start of the competitive race (40 km, 1,200 m D+);
- 10:05 AM — Start of the non-competitive cycling tour (20 km, e-bikes allowed), official route also for youth categories Esordienti and Allievi;
- 12:00 PM — Polenta party and refreshments at the finish;
- Following — Awards ceremony and DJ set.
Registration on real-time.it. FCI membership is not required for the competitive race.
