Wine, art, and music under the San Lorenzo stars at Baglio di Stefano in Gibellina

Calici di Stelle at Tenute Orestiadi is the event that, on the night of San Lorenzo, brings together wine, contemporary art, and music at the Baglio di Stefano, the historic headquarters of the Fondazione Orestiadi in Gibellina, in the province of Trapani, Sicily. The event is part of the national Movimento Turismo del Vino circuit, but in Gibellina, it takes on a unique dimension: here, you sip wine while immersed in the artworks and architecture that turned this town, rebuilt after the Belìce earthquake, into an open-air laboratory of 20th-century Italian art.
Tenute Orestiadi was born from the deep bond between wine production and culture promoted by the Fondazione Orestiadi. The evening offers a food and wine journey that pairs their own wines with Mediterranean-rooted cuisine: from Castelvetrano black bread to creative takes on traditional seafood dishes, such as pasta with swordfish. Everything is served among installations, sculptures, and the spaces of the baglio, which become the natural backdrop for the event.
Alongside the tastings, the program weaves together site-specific performances, sound and visual improvisations, concerts, and DJ sets. Recent editions have featured acts blending dance, vocals, and electronic music in dialogue with the surroundings, followed by live music that keeps the evening alive until late. It is a format that makes Calici di Stelle much more than a simple tasting: a complete sensory experience under the summer sky of western Sicily.
The event takes place at a symbolic moment for the region: Gibellina has been named the first Italian Capital of Contemporary Art for 2026, a recognition that celebrates the town's unique artistic vocation. Attending Calici di Stelle in this context means experiencing wine and conviviality where art is an integral part of the landscape and local identity, in the heart of the Belìce Valley.
