The return of C.S.I. to Alba

On September 8, 2026, Piazza Medford, in the heart of Alba in the province of Cuneo, will host one of the most anticipated musical events of the year in Piedmont: the concert by C.S.I. – Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti. Twenty-five years after their breakup, the legendary band is officially reuniting for the "In viaggio" tour, a journey through the iconic tracks of their repertoire, blending memory, poetic tension, and electric energy.

Thirty years after the historic live show in San Domenico

The Alba stop is no ordinary date. The concert falls exactly thirty years after the historic live performance that C.S.I. held in the Church of San Domenico on October 5, 1996, an evening dedicated to the Alba-born writer Beppe Fenoglio and his work A Private Affair. That recording gave birth to the live album La terra, la guerra, una questione privata, which became a benchmark for Italian independent music. Their return to Alba thus serves as a tribute to the partisan and civic memory of the Langhe region.

The concert is promoted by the Alba Municipal Administration in collaboration with the "Beppe Fenoglio" Study Center, the ANPI Alba-Bra section, and the "Portami Via Festival", and is produced by OTR Live. The Mayor of Alba, Alberto Gatto, highlighted the "extraordinary cultural and symbolic value" of the initiative, which unites memory, music, and civic commitment. Margherita Fenoglio, the writer's daughter, also welcomed the band's return with enthusiasm.
