I Suoni della Pietra in Torre Bormida

I Suoni della Pietra is a summer concert series that weaves together music, historic sites, and landscapes, turning the Stone Villages of the Langhe and the Asti Langa into a sprawling, open-air stage. Among the towns on the bill is Torre Bormida, a small village in the Alta Langa area of the Province of Cuneo, where events are held in the heart of the town, in Piazza Michele Ferrero.

A festival spread across the villages

The event, promoted by the Municipality of Bergolo and supported by local towns, runs throughout the summer and involves around twenty historic villages across the provinces of Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria. The program brings together over two hundred artists, ranging from internationally renowned names to emerging young talents, for a total of about thirty high-level performances. The artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Mauro Pavese, a respected trumpeter, who curates a selection that spans various genres and styles.

Genres and atmospheres

The audience can immerse themselves in an eclectic program that includes:

  • Classical and chamber music, featuring prestigious ensembles and soloists;
  • Jazz and improvisation, often with brass and string formations;
  • World music and global sounds;
  • Dance and interdisciplinary performances;
  • Singer-songwriter music and musical fables for all ages.

Concerts are held in natural theaters, Romanesque churches, courtyards, and squares, highlighting the architectural and scenic identity of the villages. In Torre Bormida, Piazza Michele Ferrero becomes an intimate and cozy setting, perfect for listening under the stars.
