I Suoni della Pietra in Levice

I Suoni della Pietra is a summer concert series that transforms the small stone villages of the Langhe, Alta Langa, and Monferrato into an open-air stage. Among the participating towns is Levice, a village in the Province of Cuneo perched on the hills of the Bormida Valley, where musical events take place in the scenic Piazza di Palazzo Scarampi, in the heart of the stone-built town.

A festival spread across the villages

The season runs throughout the summer, from June to September, involving about twenty historic villages in the provinces of Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria. The program brings together over two hundred artists, from internationally renowned names to emerging young talents, for more than thirty high-level performances. The artistic direction is entrusted to Maestro Mauro Pavese, a respected trumpeter, who curates a selection capable of spanning different genres and styles.

Genres and atmospheres

The audience can immerse themselves in an eclectic program that includes:

• Classical music and chamber music, with prestigious ensembles and soloists;
• Jazz and improvisation, often featuring string and brass formations;
• World music and global sounds;
• Dance and interdisciplinary shows;
• Singer-songwriter music and Italian songwriting.

In Levice, concerts are held during the warmest months of summer, generally in the evening, in Piazza di Palazzo Scarampi: an intimate and cozy setting, perfect for listening to live music under the stars of the Alta Langa.

Levice, a stone village of the Alta Langa

Levice is a small town in the Cuneo Alta Langa, dominated by the parish church of Sant'Antonio Abate and characterized by typical stone architecture, hazelnut groves, and scenic trails overlooking the Bormida Valley. Being part of I Suoni della Pietra means, for the Municipality of Levice and for Piedmont, creating a dialogue between the historical and landscape heritage of the territory and musical culture, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors to an area also famous for its local products and rolling hills.

An event for everyone

Admission to the events is free, with no reservation required, and access is available until capacity is reached. It is a precious opportunity to discover the Alta Langa in summer, combining live music with a walk through the stone alleys of Levice and the flavors of the Piedmontese territory.
