I Suoni della Pietra in Bergolo

I Suoni della Pietra is a summer concert season that transforms the stone villages of the Langhe and Monferrato into an expansive, open-air stage. Among the participating towns, Bergoloโ€”a small village in the Province of Cuneo known as the "stone village"โ€”stands out, hosting performances in its unique Teatro della Pietra on Via Roma. The festival weaves together music, dance, and landscape, offering audiences an experience that goes far beyond a simple concert.

A widespread program across the villages

The season spans several weeks, from June to September, involving around twenty historic villages across the provinces of Cuneo, Asti, and Alessandria. The program brings together over two hundred artists, ranging from internationally renowned names to young emerging talents, for a total of about thirty high-level performances. The artistic direction is led by Maestro Mauro Pavese, a seasoned trumpeter who curates a program capable of spanning diverse genres and styles.

Genres and atmosphere

Audiences can immerse themselves in an eclectic program that includes:

  • Classical and chamber music, featuring prestigious ensembles and soloists;
  • Jazz and improvisation, often performed by brass and string ensembles;
  • World music and global sounds;
  • Dance and interdisciplinary performances;
  • Italian singer-songwriter music.

Concerts are held in natural amphitheaters, courtyards, castles, and town squares, highlighting the architectural and scenic identity of the villages. In Bergolo, the Teatro della Pietra offers an intimate, cozy setting, perfect for listening under the stars.

Bergolo, the stone village

Nestled among the picturesque villages of the Alta Langa, Bergolo owes its charm to the stone constructions that define its streets and homes. For the Municipality of Bergolo and the Piedmont region, being part of I Suoni della Pietra means fostering a dialogue between historical heritage and musical culture, attracting enthusiasts and curious visitors to a territory also famous for its wine landscapes and gastronomy.

An event for everyone

Admission to all events is free, with no reservation required, and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is a precious opportunity to discover the Alta Langa of Cuneo in summer, combining live music with a stroll through stone alleys and the flavors of the Piedmontese territory.
