The winter version of the historic Romagna festival in Reda, featuring home cooking, a market, and Befana.
The Sagra del Buongustaio is one of the most beloved food and wine events in Reda, a hamlet in the Municipality of Faenza, in the province of Ravenna (Emilia-Romagna). Originally held in late August, after Ferragosto, and a classic in Romagna for over twenty years, the festival has also offered a Winter Edition for some seasons now: a winter version that brings home flavors to the days around Epiphany, when the cold invites us to gather around the table together.
The heart of the festival remains the same: good food, good service, and good prices, the formula that made the Buongustaio famous. In the heated and comfortable multi-purpose hall on Via Birandola, you can enjoy traditional Romagna dishes prepared by volunteers: cappelletti in broth or dry, castrato (roasted lamb), baked lasagne, tagliata di manzo (sliced beef steak) with coarse salt and rosemary, and especially the famous Buongustaio stuffed bread, a specialty that has become a symbol of the festival. Reservations are not required: just sit down and enjoy the cheerful atmosphere.
In addition to the food, the Winter Edition enlivens Reda with various initiatives:
Organized by the Pro Loco Faenza with the support of Reda's local associations, the festival is an example of a village celebration that combines gastronomic tradition, social interaction, and solidarity. If you're in Faenza in the early days of the year, the Sagra del Buongustaio Winter Edition is the perfect opportunity to discover the most authentic Romagna, the one with its pasta makers, long tables, and warm hospitality.
The 2026 winter edition enlivened Reda di Faenza from January 2nd to 6th with the usual Buongustaio formula: good food, good service, and good prices. The evenings featured traditional Romagna dishes, while on holidays, the market filled Piazza Don Milani and Via Birandola with local products. Amidst music, dancing, and games for all ages, the event concluded on Epiphany Day with the arrival of Befana.
A charity raffle is active throughout the festival. Reservations are not required.
