Borgo Talent, the summer stage of the Gargano
Born in 2017 from an idea by Luigi Mossuto, Borgo Talent has become one of the most anticipated summer events in Borgo Celano, a district of the municipality of San Marco in Lamis, in the province of Foggia, in the heart of the Apulian Gargano. Every year, the renovated Piazza degli Artisti transforms into an open-air stage where new voices, songwriters, and young talents compete for the spotlight in front of an audience and a qualified jury.
A competition in four categories
The festival's format revolves around a true singing competition, divided into several categories that provide space for every type of talent:
- Cantautori (Songwriters) — those who bring original, self-written songs to the stage;
- Interpreti (Performers) — voices that reinterpret the greatest hits of Italian and international music;
- Kids — the section dedicated to children aged 5 to 11;
- Suoni (Sounds) — reserved for musicians who perform live with their own instruments.
The performances take place over several competition nights, evaluated by a jury of industry professionals. There is also the Premio Aziende (Business Award), an accolade born from the collaboration with ASNALI, which links the world of talent to local entrepreneurship.
A community event
Borgo Talent is much more than a contest: it is a village festival that involves the entire community of Borgo Celano. Promoted by the Pro Loco of Borgo Celano, hosted by Luigi Mossuto himself, and with artistic direction by Silvio Nardella, the festival grows year by year and is broadcast live on TvGargano, bringing the San Marco square into homes across the entire Gargano region. Free admission, a family atmosphere, and the desire to bring local talent to the forefront are the ingredients that have ensured its success.
Borgo Celano and the Gargano
The event is held in Borgo Celano, a village nestled between San Marco in Lamis and San Giovanni Rotondo, along the road that crosses the Gargano National Park. Participating in Borgo Talent also means discovering an authentic corner of northern Puglia, amidst tradition, hospitality, and mountain landscapes, just a stone's throw from the sanctuaries and Gargano forests.
Borgo Talent — edition 2026
From July 24 to 26, 2026, Borgo Celano hosts the ninth edition of Borgo Talent in Piazza degli Artisti, with evenings kicking off at 8:30 PM. The competition, conceived and hosted by Luigi Mossuto and promoted by the Pro Loco of Borgo Celano, returns with its four categories — Songwriters, Performers, Kids (ages 5-11), and Sounds — and live coverage on TvGargano. Registration took place from April 20 to May 20, 2026.
Programme Borgo Talent 2026
The three evenings of the ninth edition take place in Piazza degli Artisti in Borgo Celano, starting at 8:30 PM.
Competition format
- Songwriters — performances with original songs;
- Performers — covers and reinterpretations;
- Kids — section for children aged 5 to 11;
- Sounds — live musicians with instruments.
Performances are evaluated by a jury chaired by Gina Palmieri, with artistic direction by Silvio Nardella and hosted by Luigi Mossuto. The Business Award is presented in collaboration with ASNALI. The list of finalists and guests for each evening is finalized after registration closes and announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

How to get there
By car: from the A14 motorway, take the Foggia exit and continue towards the Gargano in the direction of San Marco in Lamis and San Giovanni Rotondo. Borgo Celano is located along the road connecting the two towns. The nearest train station is Foggia, from which you can continue via local bus connections to the Gargano.
